Part Availability and Ordering

There are three participants in any ordering transaction – the Buyer, the Seller and GLAXIS. Typically, the Buyer is an auto glass retailer and the Seller is an automotive replacement glass distributor or wholesaler. In some cases, the Buyer will be a distributor ordering large amounts of glass from a glass manufacturer or distributor. This document will typically use the terms Buyer and Seller.

With GLAXIS, auto glass buyers can easily identify the products they need, request pricing information, determine availability, place immediate, real-time orders, and receive shipment notices from their preferred vendors. Rather than phoning multiple vendors to check part availability or visiting different vendor Web sites to place an order, Buyers can perform all of these activities for multiple vendors from within their existing business system. Moreover, these activities can be linked with purchasing and accounting modules, inventory control, and other existing purchasing optimization processes.
